Daisy Erickson
Daisy Jasmine Erickson discovered her passion for photography in seventh grade, when a collection of Time magazines and a standard DSLR camera provided her with the inspiration and means to capture life’s most cherished moments. In 8th grade, “Humans of New York” photojournalist Brandon Stanton inspired her to pursue photography as a career, and now Erickson aspires to work for Time or National Geographic. Although she specializes in portraiture – one of her maternity shoots will be featured in popular Yoga Journal this year – she will have taken pictures of two weddings by the time she graduates.

Erickson applied for the position of Photo Editor so she could improve her skills with Manitou’s high-grade equipment. Interpersonal opportunities, like this year’s seasonal profile shoots, have helped her cultivate the skills necessary to thrive in the world of photojournalism.
