As Manitou Springs High School prepares for the festivities of homecoming, the clash of orange and green looms on everyone’s minds. The Mustangs, led by Cole Sienknecht (12), will be taking on the Lamar Savages this Friday, September 30, at 7pm. Let’s look at the matchup.

Manitou has started off the season well, with four overall wins and zero losses. The Mustangs’ national rank is 4,369 and their Colorado state rank is 69. Two top five League Stat Leaders from Manitou are Davyn Adamscheck (12) and Sienknecht, Adamscheck being #1 in the ranks for touchdowns, with a total of seven.

Lamar lost their first three games this season. The Savages won against Trinidad last week. With a win percentage of .25%, Lamar holds the 181st seed in Colorado rankings. They hold no league records.
