The ride home for La Junta’s Volleyball team was most likely grueling and a lot longer than they wanted. Manitou beat La Junta in 3 sets this last Saturday.

The team, lead by seniors Angela Jensen, Brooke Garretson and Katie Mckeil, survived a late rally from La Junta.

Leader Katie McKeil was just voted KOAA player of the week. “It’s crazy, I’m definitely  not used to it, but it’s an honor. I know all the team is working hard, so it’s really nice to see the hard work pay off.”

Manitou improved to 9-3 record overall and 4-0 in league play. They won against CSCS, the third-ranked 3A Colorado volleyball team, last week
