On Saturday, December 13th, Manitou Wrestling prevailed and placed 2nd as a team at the Colorado Springs Christian School.

In their respective weight classes, Jonathan Nagel (11) took 1st at 138, Dominic Frankmore (12) took 1st at 152, and Christian Navarro (11) took 1st at 220. Many members of the wrestling team were matched against each other, and Christian Navarro (11) and Levi Holler (10) wrestled each other for the final. Five wrestlers were eliminated and the rest made it to the podium.

Julian Sanchez (10) achieved a 10-second pin, which was a record for the season.

“I believe that the team does work very well together and we all come together for each other and support everyone during the matches,” says Jonathan Nagel (11). “I think this tournament went incredibly well for our team as a whole with 9 placers and three people at 1st place. Also taking second overall as a team was a great accomplishment.”
