Riley Walker, English and Yearbook teacher and head of the Writing Lab, shares advice to current Manitou students. Walker has many great memories from high school. Taking part in Cross-Country, performing in Montage, his school’s variety show, along with the feeling of newfound freedom with his own car.

Kaleb Cervantes, Editor-in-Chief
Kaleb Cervantes is a senior at Manitou Springs High School. In his free time Cervantes enjoys playing instruments like the drums and the guitar. He also loves photography and art. He is eager to graduate and go pursue journalism in college, using this year as a stepping stone towards that career path. Cervantes dislikes mushrooms with a passion. Cervantes is excited to finish off his high school career in journalism as the Editor-in-Chief of print.
Naomi Porter, Editor-in-Chief
Naomi Porter is a senior at Manitou Springs High School. Along with being on the Prospector staff, Porter is an editor of the yearbook and a team captain for the Manitou Mountain Monsters. During the summer Porter spends her time either coaching summer camps with Kids on Bikes or riding her bike, during the winter she spends every available weekend snowboarding. Porter enjoys writing for The Prospector because it allows her to bring attention to things she’s passionate about through her writing. She is excited to continue her journalism career as Editor-in-Chief.
