MSHS World language night: Successful first of many

For several weeks this February every world language student prepared a project that they could present during world language night on February 17th. For their class every student was required to make a project, such as a poster board, slide show, keynote presentation, or dishes.

This made the night not only very diverse in a cultural sense but also in the entertainment presented throughout the night.

“Language Night was an opportunity for the students to show off the work they did, the night was fun and multi-cultural,” said French teacher Mme. Stoneback.

Judges walked around the room deciding on both the students’ grades and who would win awards. There were many different language classes there and many friends and family showed up to support their student.

Aside from the motivation of a good grade, many students really gave their all to this projects.

“It was pretty cool to see teachers, students, and parents come together to share in the cultures of countries around the world,” said sophomore Spanish student Monique Heiniger. “When people came up to your booth, they seemed interested and curious like they actually wanted to know about your country and it’s festivals. It was a great night filled with food, fun, and friends.”
