Colorado College pool records smashed

League second place finish sends eight girls to state

The Manitou swimmers placed second at the Tri-Peaks league championship last week at Colorado College. Despite the loss to Kent Denver, 412 to 403, the Mustangs set three new pool records, beating the previously held records set by college teams like Air Force Academy.

The new pool records were: Veronica Morin, 50 Free 23.64; Emily Dolloff-Holt, 200 IM 2:08.75. The 400 free relay team, Emily Dolloff-Holt, Kethrys Buffa, Samantha White, Veronica Morin, 3:39.38.

Individually the girls were very strong with 8 individuals qualifying for state. Many of the girls may have already qualified in earlier meets as well.
