First Snow of the Winter for Manitou Springs

James Kilroy, Reporter

On Tuesday November 11th, Manitou Springs students woke up to the sight of white outside of their windows. The first snow of the winter arrived and brought with it a freezing temperature of down to negative 4 degrees. Even with all the snow falling students were still disappointed with their normal school day and no delays.

Local ski resorts such as Keystone and Monarch are beginning to gain visitors because the ski season is finally here. Many students are excited to get out their snowboards and skis for the winter.

On Wednesday and Thursday of November 12th and 13th, Manitou experienced icy and slick roads which caused the district to delay the start of schools 2 hours, which gave time for kids to sleep in and do homework.
