The boys led going into the second quarter, and fell behind by six going into halftime. As Sterling picked up momentum in the second half, Manitou battled against themselves and the refs, having seven fouls whereas the Tigers had only one.

The boys continued to trail in the third quarter by nine, and their score picked up at the tail-end of the fourth with the help of Lucas Rodholm (12), scoring a total of 30 points in the overall game, with the rest of the team scoring 20 altogether. Cole Sienknecht (11) scored 12 of the 20, Davyn Adamscheck (12) four, and seniors Kaleb Chapin and Jared Keul aided with two each.
