Manitou Cross Country attended The Coronado Cougar Classic meet on September 22 at Monument Valley Park. The 5,000 meter race was hosted by Coronado High School and held remarkable results for the Manitou team.

The Girls Cross Country team placed first out of seven Division two teams with 47 points. The team held an average of 23:05 minutes. Naomi Stevens (12) placed 2nd overall with a time of 21:55. Brooklyn Mack (11) held 9th place with a time of 23:10, the remainder of the six person team had times below 30 minutes.

Boys cross country placed 3rd overall after Salida High School and Woodland Park High School. Bryce Vanderveer (12) placed 7th and Seth Nolan (12) placed 10th both in the 18 minute range. The remainder of the boys all placed below 22 minutes. They held an average of 18:47 with 70 points.

The next meet will be on Saturday, October 1st at Cottonwood Creek at 10:00am. This will be their last meet before Tri-Peaks League on October 7th at 2:00pm.
