Future Pro-Athlete Kayla Hendricks (9) has taken a turn this season by taking on the role of the football manager. In the past, she has usually done volleyball but she wanted to try something new. “Seeing the field from a different perspective is fun,” said Hendricks. Now that she is a part of this work she really appreciates the work the people do every game and thinks that others should too.
Even though Hendricks is enjoying her new role as manager of the football team she is especially excited for basketball season just around the corner. She likes the excitement that she and her teammates bring to the court. Hendricks plays as a post for the Manitou Mustangs. “Having new teammates and being able to travel will be fun,” Hendricks said.
Going into the progressive season she wants to focus on shooting and being one of the top players on the team. Traveling to State would also be a success. “I want to be a started for JR Varsity one of the top scores and I want to swing varsity and get over six hours of playing time throughout the season,” Hendricks said.
