Teachers across the high school on Monday opened their emails to see that there would be hour-long classes on Friday, leading to school being closed at 1P.M. The news was a rare example of good news being shared on a Monday.

The early release schedule is due to both girls’ and boys’ basketball teams hosting regional state tournaments at the high school gym this weekend. The Manitou Springs boys’ and girls’ basketball teams both came away from league competitions with number three seeds in their 3A state competitions.
For any people planning on going to the game, the girls play at 5:00pm and the boys at 6:30pm. Unfortunately for any owners of the Manitou Family Pass, they will not be accepted on Friday as the event is a CHSAA event. The gate prices are $7.00 for adults, $5.00 for kids, and $5.00 for seniors. Those prices will carry on through all playoff games as well as the inability to use the Manitou Family Pass.

Block One: 8:15 – 9:15 am
Block Two: 9:20 – 10:20 am
Block Three: 10:25 – 11:25 am
Lunch: 11:25 – 11:55 am
Block Four: 12:00 – 1:00
