The Manitou Springs Swim Team, composed of 25 girls, has made considerable strides towards a prosperous season. They are currently and successfully at a 7-1 win-loss ratio overall.

Their meet on Wednesday January 26, against Discovery Canyon led affluent outcomes. The end result of 112 vs. 62 held another victory for the Manitou girls.

Maddie Butts (10), the only diver on the team, placed 4th at the meet. This was Butts’ 3rd time diving.

“Its kind of nice because you get one on one time with the coach.” Butts said.

As Discovery Canyon held a senior night during halftime, the divers awaited the result of the meet.

The team will be present at League on Thursday and Friday, February 4 and 5.

At League the team will either qualify as individuals or on a relay. At the moment 8 girls and teammates are competing for a spot in the relay.
