Swim & Dive:
The Manitou Springs Swim & Dive team had a rough start to the season going 2-4 overall and 1-3 in league. They started off the season with two straight losses to Salida 30-134 and Fountain Valley 62-107. They grabbed a win against Sierra 121-45 and then another against Woodland Park 99-84. Then they took two losses to Kent Denver 91-95 and Air Academy 89-202. In the Tri Peaks League Championships they placed 7th out of 9 with a total score of 336. In the State Tournament, Rhys Parratt qualified for 1m diving. Story Aldridge qualified for the 50 yd freestyle. Cali Martinez, Sarah Fridman, Savannah Bartko and Natalie Traenkle qualified for the 200 yd freestyle relay. Aldridge also qualified for the 100 yd breaststroke. Acacia Gilmore, Bartko, Traenkle and Aldridge qualified for the 400 yd freestyle relay. However, none of the qualifiers placed in the State Tournament.

Wrestling:
The MSHS Wrestling team had a solid year as four girls wrestlers made the State Tournament: Abbie Reeves, Kara Donegan, Alex Traenkle, and Hannah Rickert. Abbie Reeves made the final but lost a close match and placed 2nd, Kara Donegan finished 4th. Alex and Hannah both didn’t place. There were no boys that qualified for the State Tournament.

Alex Traenkle: 1st at Salida, 2nd at Arvada, 4th at Tri Peaks League Tournament, 5th at Columbine, State Qualifier.
Hannah Rickert: 2nd at Columbine, 4th at Salida, 6th at Metros, State Qualifier.
