Football:
The Manitou Springs Football team didn’t have the season they were expecting matching last year’s record of 4-5. However, they added a win to their league record making it 2-3. The Mustangs started the season with 2 big wins against Rye and Prospect Ridge. Then went on a 3 game losing streak against Valley, Forge Christian, and Florence. They picked up a home win against La Junta then took a two-game skid against Lamar and Woodland Park. In the final game of the season, they dominated Banning Lewis. The team was led on offense by star running back Logan Moore and receiver Preston Rhodes. On defense, the team was led by Logan Moore, Kyan Bunker, Ashur Lavigne, and Layton Little.

Girls Volleyball:
The Manitou Springs Volleyball team had a rough season going 3-20. They started the season with 12 straight losses, the streak spanning over a month long. They then struck a match winning two of their next three. However, that didn’t last long as they then went on a six-game slide before winning against Thomas MacLaren in the final home game of the season. They lost to La Junta in the same week to end the season. The Mustangs only had two seniors on the team, AJ Jackson and Kloe Roth. They were led by those two with Brooklyn Sheffield, Gracie Esterline, Alice Melvin, and Aleia McBride playing in key varsity roles.

Boys Soccer:
The Manitou Boys Soccer team had a very successful season finishing 10-4-2 overall and 2-1 in league play. They began their season with four straight wins including a dominant 11-1 win over rival St. Marys. They then had two ties and suffered their first loss of the season against Pagosa Springs. Then winning three straight before dropping one at Salida. They did the same for the last 4 games of the season and lost to Woodland Park for the league title. In the first round of the playoffs, the Mustangs took a loss to DSST: College View to put an end to their season. The team was led by the Steger brothers, Alexander offensively, and Sebastian in goal.

Cross Country:
The Cross Country teams had very successful seasons with both teams placing in state and the girls finishing runner-up. To start the season both teams finished second at the Widefield Invitational. Then at the Coronado Classic, the girl’s team took home first place. At the Tri-Peaks League Championships, the boy’s team placed third and the girl’s team won first place. The girl’s team also won regionals on their way to state. At the state championships, the girl’s team placed second and the boy’s team placed twelfth. The boy’s team was led by Yonas Hanson, Evan Fugate, and Ethan Traenkle. The girls were led by Elisa Karr, Chloe Bresnahan, and Keyaira Moore.
