Football:
vs Woodland Park High School 7-14
On senior night and rivalry week, the Mustangs took on Woodland Park for the “War on 24.” Despite Woodland being undefeated and the Mustangs at 3-4, those records did not matter on Friday. The Mustangs scored early and did what no other team has done to Woodland all year, and shut them out in the first half. A couple of missed chances for the Mustangs found them giving up a touchdown early in the second half. The game was a stalemate with neither defense backing down until Woodland drove down the field and scored with just over a minute left. The Mustangs could not do the same and took a loss. The Mustangs travel next Friday, Nov. 1, looking to end the season on a high note against a struggling Banning Lewis team. The Mustangs are now 3-5 overall and 1-3 in league play, they will play their final game this season on Friday.
