Hannah Grace has yet again come out with a hit romance novel that draws the reader in quickly. The author has proved that she never misses with any of her books.
“Daydream” follows Halle and Henry as they join forces to help each other. Halle is trying to write a romance book despite never having been in a romantic relationship. Henry on the other hand has. He is struggling in one of his classes due to procrastination. After meeting through a mutual friend, they both decide to join forces to help each other reach their goals. Henry takes Halle on dates to give her experience to write her book while Halle helps Henry study for his class. While spending so much time together, will their friendship turn into something more?
I absolutely loved this book. I loved how Hannah Grace touches on new topics in this book such as disabilities like ADHD. The readers get to see how this affects Henry from his point of view. This book shows how Henry can struggle with his ADHD, and how it affects his mental health. The readers get to see the good and ugly parts of both characters. This allows you to get to know the characters better and understand or relate to those who have similar struggles.
I also like how you really get to see how their friendship grows throughout the book outside of the love interest first. The author really exemplifies how Henry and Halle help each other out to grow and better themselves. Halle and Henry have the cutest banter and are adorable together.
I really like Grace’s writing style. She writes both of the characters’ points of view so you get to know the characters better and see the relationship grow from two different points of views.. Her writing is also very descriptive to give the reader a better understanding of the setting and what’s going on.
Another book that is similar to “Daydream” is “Unsteady” by Peyton Corinne. This is a hockey romance as well. This book also explores mental health and trauma responses similar to “Daydream”. The characters Rhys and Sadie have undeniable chemistry and are adorable. If you like “Unsteady”, you will for sure love “Daydream” by Hannah Grace.
Overall, this book was amazing and it is my favorite book from Hannah Grace yet. She never fails to write a good hockey romance book.
