Annual Holiday Craft Fair is Near
December has begun, and those of us who celebrate winter holidays and have not already bought gifts are soon to be in a dire need.
The Holiday Craft Show is on Saturday, December 12, 13 days before Christmas and six days after the start of hanukkah. This event is a perfect way to catch up on needed holiday shopping.
The event starts at 9:00 a.m. and ends at 4:00 p.m. at Manitou Springs High School.
The vendors will be selling crafts such as homemade hammocks, beauty supplies, jewelry, and accessories.
About a week to the event and the notion of the Holiday Craft Show is having a hard time emerging, and with the wonderful selections of vendors it would not be ideal to miss the show.
Maddie Dayhoff (11), a representative in Student Council, is in charge of the event. She has worked closely with Wendy Skokan to make the fair a reality.
Wendy Skokan is not only the organizer and developer of the fair but is also a crafter who will be selling at the event. She has been involved in previous fairs, but only as a vendor.
Dayhoff has high hopes for the event. “I love the idea of crafts, so I love seeing them.”
The student council students will be assisting the vendors to set up and break down their tables, and looking over the event for the time it runs.
“It’s a great place to get those last minute unique holiday gifts! And THIS year, we have some really cool vendors!” Wendy Skokan say.
