Dear Editor,
Many students get their work done more efficiently when they have music. Listening to music can help students focus on their work and not talk to other students. This proves that the phone policy should allow students to listen to their music as long as they are not disruptive and distracting to other students.
Being able to listen to music is important to me because I like to listen to music when I work. Music helps me focus better, keeping me focused from the world around me. The phone policy doesn’t allow me or other students to listen to music, which I also like to do when reading. This proves that when students listen to music, they can focus better on what they are doing.
The administration should change the phone policy to allow students to listen to music while they work. They should understand the importance of being able to get work done without being distracted by the world around them.
Sincerely, Alice
