Lorenzo Pirocca is a foreign exchange student at Manitou Springs High School who formerly attended Liceo Monti in Italy. One of his favorite sports is tennis, which he has been playing for about ten years. Sadly, Manitou does not have a tennis team. He also likes soccer but does not play due to the season starting when the tennis season starts. Some important people in his life include his mother, Claudia, who he has not seen in quite some time. He tries to call her every week. Pirocca states things he loves are Italian rap, food, dogs and cats. He also states that Chicken Alfredo is not Italian. Pirocca joined journalism to improve his knowledge of English and writing.
