The Prospector and Student Council are holding a James Brown Dance-Off directly after the dance from 11:00-11:15 P.M.

The winner will receive $50, second place will receive $30 and third place will get $20.

A video from the 1970s on our front page features a young James Brown teaching the viewer how to dance like him.

The dances you compete with must be from the featured video, and a panel of judges will decide the winners. You can choose three of the dances and perform them for the cash prizes.

They are:

Bugaloo, Funky Chicken, The Ol’ James Brown, Mashed Potatoes, Camel Walk, Robot and Soul Swing

You can dance in a group or individually, but the three dances must be one of these vintage James Brown moves.
