The Mustangs’ next game is a must win if they want to keep their season alive.
“We have a great opportunity Friday night, and we must capitalize on it… they won’t get many more opportunities like this in life,” Coach Gieck said.
In the Mustangs’ last game, they failed to punch their ticket to playoffs with a heartbreaking 19-18 loss to Trinidad.
“I am disappointed that we lost our last game, but we need to put that behind us and focus on Alamosa,” senior captain KC Quarry said.
With a win Friday night against Alamosa, the Manitou Springs football team would make playoffs for the first time since 2008.
“We need to focus on what we are doing not what they are doing, and if we do that, we will be successful,” Gieck said.
Kickoff for the last regular game of the season against Alamosa is at 7:oo p.m at Richardson Field.
