The Manitou Springs girls soccer team will now look forward to next season following a 2-0 loss to the second ranked Peak to Peak team.

The loss ended a memorable season for the Mustangs as they finished in the second spot in their league with an overall record of 12-5.

The tenth ranked Mustangs earned their way into the elite eight with 2 wins over Moffat County and Frontier Academy in the first 2 rounds of the playoffs.

In their first round game against Moffat county, Manitou escaped with a 2-1 win.

The Mustangs then shut out Frontier Academy by a score of 3-0 to advance into the third round.

In the third round game, Manitou was held scoreless by one of the top teams in the entire state, ultimately ending one of the best seasons in school history.

This years squad included 9 seniors: Ashley Benson, Alyssa Archuleta, Kailah Buchanan, Ali Thompson, Meghan McGee, Margaret Barton, Sarah Turnbull, Alex Caffery and Gabby Santos.
