The Manitou Springs basketball team will now prepare for playoffs after a strong end to the regular season where they finished with an overall record of 11-6.

Manitou’s final game of the regular season was a 17-5 win over TCA on May 4th.

That was the second game of a crossover doubleheader where Manitou lost the first contest to Lamar by a score of 17-0.

Those two games finalized the seeds for the playoff bracket where the Mustangs earned the 11th seed.

Assistant coach Rob Quarry said, ” We got a good seed and we are happy with the bracket that we got placed into.”

Quarry went on to explain that after examining the bracket, his team got a good seed and bracket based on the teams in the other brackets.

The Mustangs will now prepare for the first proud of playoffs where they will play the 23rd ranked Fort Lupton Blue Devils.

That game will be at Brush High School at 12:30 on Saturday.
