Front Office

Students may have noticed a new face at the front office. Angie Glass is temporarily filling in for Laurie Guido, since she has been awarded a new position.

“My position is in payroll, and insurance for the district,” said Guido. “An opportunity presented itself, and I felt it was time for me to move on. ”

Manitou is happy to welcome the long term substitute, and applicant for the job, Angie Glass. As a Manitou graduate, she had the experience with Guido as her office assistant.

“We used to always joke, and I would say, ‘I’m going to come back, and steal your job when you retire,'” said Glass.

Although it was not really her plan to come back, and step in for Guido, it seemed like a nice time to return.

With the absence of the same face, and the same voice that has been here for years, it would be easy for people to be hesitant toward the change.

“I know people are sad to see her go, but at the same time everyone has been really accepting, which is awesome, and exactly why I love this school,” said Glass.

Guido feels the same regarding

the school system,”I feel blessed to work for Manitou Springs School District wherever I am at.” However, she adds, “It is very different not being at the high school. I’ll miss

the students and staff,” said Guido.
