After last year’s successful season, the Cross Country Team is looking forward to an even better season this year.

On Tuesday, September 16, The boys’ and girls’ Cross Country Team traveled to Florence to Pathfinder Park for the Huskie Invite.

Juniors Jared Keul and Naomi Stevens achieved 5th and 4th place respectively.

Both teams placed 2nd, losing to the Pueblo South Colts.

The girls’ team is especially excited for this season and plans on qualifying for state for the 2nd year in a row, and to place even better then last year. The other goal this season is to win League, which is the same course the Lady Mustangs tackled on Tuesday.

Their next race will be on Saturday 19 at Elmwood Golf Course in Pueblo.
