The boys basketball team faced off against Salida last Friday. This was a pigtail game, which means that the top twelve teams were competing to reach the top eight. The top four teams were left out of this.

The boys were placed fifth, so they played the team in twelfth place, which was Salida. The game began with Manitou immediately racking up 12 points to the visiting team’s 0. This point gap did not loosen up the entire game.

At halftime, Manitou was up 44-21. The Mustangs won the game 67-30. This means that they will advance to the League championships. The first bracket will take place tomorrow, February 26, at Buena Vista.
