Wrestling has a big win against Calhan

On Tuesday, January 27th the wrestling team swept away Calhan’s team. This match was a make up match after to the last one being canceled due to last week’s snow storm.
The Mustangs had an overwhelming number of victories. Freshman Noah Sobeck defeated Calhan’s Ashley Rupe (Fall 0:38) 6-0; freshman Tanner Weber defeated Obidiah Bishop (Fall 3:24) 6-0; senior Dominic Frankmore defeated Zack Kitchell (Fall 1:33) 6-0; sophomore Atticus Fredrickson won against Julian Drew (MD 12-3) 4-0; junior Christian Navarro won against Steven Aljets (Fall 0:48) 6-0; and sophomore Julian Sanchez defeated Conner Wood (Fall 1:05) 6-0.
Due to the small amount of Calhan wrestlers almost half of the Manitou team received forfeits.
The turnout however was more than disappointing. The audience consisted of mainly parents. The wrestlers would love to see more people come to the next meet scheduled for Wednesday, February 4th, at home against Woodland Park.
